Mrs. Cone

Mrs. Michele Cone

Mrs. Cone has been involved in education for over 30 years. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in education from Trenton State University and a Master’s of Educational Leadership from Centenary University. Currently, Mrs. Cone is a doctoral candidate for Educational Leadership at Centenary University where she is researching school climate and its effects on student performance.

In January 2015, Mrs. Cone came from nearby Tewksbury Township Schools where she taught for 27 years. While in Tewksbury Township School District , Mrs. Cone served on a variety of school committees and undertook leadership roles. She was a member of the district’s Council of Instruction, and the middle school schedule redesign committee. She developed curriculum and mentored staff in Understanding by Design model and the Teachscape Pilot program. Mrs. Cone, also, served as NJASK Testing Coordinator for the district. In 2010, she was recognized as Educator of the Year.

Mrs. Cone first joined the Clinton Township School DIstrict administrative team as the Supervisor of Staff Evaluations & Students Programs and, in 2016, became the vice principal of CTMS. As the vice principal of CTMS, Mrs. Cone was involved in the daily operations of the school as well as coordination of PARCC and NJASK testing, and initiatives such as the 1:1 Chromebook initiative at CTMS. Mrs. Cone served on several committees including I&RS, SCiP, and DCC while at CTMS. Mrs. Cone has also served as the administrative liaison to the Clinton Township Foundation for Educational Excellence since 2015.

In November 2017, Mrs. Cone was promoted to Director of Special Projects for the district where she collaborated with the district superintendent, and administration in the development of curriculum and professional development, budgeting, hiring and staffing of personnel, development of policy, coordinating technology resources, oversaw district testing and evaluation of teachers and district staff. She was an instrumental part of the planning and preparation of the district reorganization.

Mrs. Cone believes it is important to recognize and celebrate the essence of childhood while educating our students and preparing them for their future. She looks forward to her continued contributions to the students, families and staff of the Clinton Township School District.
