Mrs. Joanne Hinkle
Joanne Hinkle joined Clinton Township in 2013 as the Assistant Principal at the Round Valley School and most recently as Supervisor of Instruction, Data and Assessment. She comes to us with 18 years of teaching experience in both fourth and fifth grades. She has taught general education and Response to Intervention, following a full inclusion model. Mrs. Hinkle has four certifications, Principal, Supervisor, Elementary and K-12 Social Studies. She received her BA from Drew University in Madison, NJ and her Masters in Educational Leadership from Fairleigh Dickinson. Mrs. Hinkle and her family live in Lebanon Township.
DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL SERVICES
Mrs. Alice Steinheimer
Ms. Alice Steinheimer joined the Clinton Township School District as Director of
Special Services in February 2014. She has over 35 years experience in special
education serving as teacher, Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant and Director.
Mrs. Steinheimer has had the opportunity to successfully work with many special
need students and has command knowledge of all aspects of special education. She
is certified in multiple areas including Principal, Supervisor, Teacher of the
Handicapped, NY Elementary Education, Wilson Reading and is a Professionally
Recognized Special Educator for Educational Diagnosis.
Mrs. Steinheimer received her BS in Elementary Education from the State University
College at Oneonta, an MS in Special Education from Adelphi University and an MA in
Educational Leadership from the College of Saint Elizabeth. In addition, Mrs.
Steinheimer earned her LDT-C certification from Montclair State University.
Mrs. Steinheimer's philosophy of education is based on the anonymous quote, "Children
are like wet cement; whatever falls on them leaves an impression." Mrs. Steinheimer is
committed to leaving a positive impression on each and every student in our learning
community. Mrs. Steinheimer and her family live in Morris County.
SUPERVISOR OF TECHNOLOGY
Mr. Timothy Jaw
Mr. Jaw assumed the Supervisor of Technology role in December 2014. Mr. Jaw brings a strong technology background, as well as a degree in economics with a minor in math from Vassar College and a Masters degree in Teaching, as well as one in Educational Leadership from The College of New Jersey. He has been a teacher and administrator in the district since 2006.
PRINCIPAL, CLINTON TOWNSHIP MIDDLE SCHOOL 7th & 8th
Ms. Judith Hammond
Ms. Judith Hammond joined the Clinton Township School District in 1997. For seven years she worked as a seventh grade in-class support teacher, for four years she served as the Enrichment Coordinator at RVS. She became the principal of Clinton Township Middle School in July, 2013 after five years as principal of Round Valley Intermediate School. Prior to joining CTSD, Ms. Hammond was a first grade teacher in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Reception and Year 1 teacher in Salford, England. Ms. Hammond earned her Teaching Certificate from St. Gabriel's College, part of The University of London, both her Bachelor of Science in Education and Master's Degree in Education from the California University of Pennsylvania. She also holds her Principal and Supervisors Post Master's Certificate in Educational Leadership from The College of New Jersey. She lives in Hunterdon County with her spouse.
VICE PRINCIPAL, CLINTON TOWNSHIP MIDDLE SCHOOL - 7th & 8th
Mrs. Michele Cone
Mrs. Cone joined the Clinton Township School District in January 2015 from nearby Tewksbury Township School District. Mrs. Cone's initial position in the Clinton Township Schools was the Supervisor of Evaluations and Student Programs. Currently Mrs.Cone is the Vice Principal of CTMS. She received a BA in Education from the College of New Jersey and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Centenary College. She also holds both a Principal and Supervisor Post Master's Certificate. Mrs. Cone resides in Morris County with her husband and children.
PRINCIPAL, ROUND VALLEY SCHOOL 4th - 6th
Mrs. Therese "Sue" High
Mrs. High received her Bachelor's Degree from William Paterson College with a double major in Elementary School Education and Special Education. She received a Master's Degree from Marygrove College in The Art of Teaching and then continued her graduate studies earning a Master's Degree in Education Administration from Rider University. Mrs.High has taught both special education and general education in grades 3-8, and has served as the Lead Teacher for math, science, and social studies. She lives in Bound Brook with her husband and three children.
VICE PRINCIPAL, ROUND VALLEY SCHOOL 4th - 6th
Mr. Thomas Connolly
Mr. Thomas Connolly has a diverse educational background in both private and public school settings in primary and intermediate levels. He received his Bachelor of Science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in Speech Pathology and Audiology and continued his education at Bloomsburg University with a degree in Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. His Supervisor and Principal certifications were completed through the NJEXCEL Educational Leadership Program. Mr. Connolly has assumed many roles in his career, such as Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Response to Intervention Teacher, collaborative general education teacher, district mentor, and has served on numerous district leadership committees. He lives in Washington Township with his wife and son.
PRINCIPAL, PATRICK MCGAHERAN SCHOOL - 2nd - 3rd
Ms. Mary Postma
Ms. Mary Postma has been Principal of Patrick McGaheran Elementary School since 2007. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude, from Centenary College. Mrs. Postma continued her education at Lehigh University receiving a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education, followed by a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership. She holds certification as a K-8 Teacher, Supervisor and Principal. Mrs. Postma has experience teaching kindergarten, first grade, third grade, fifth grade and literacy. She began teaching in the Clinton Township School District in 1999. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and son.
PRINCIPAL, SPRUCE RUN SCHOOL - PreK-1st
Mrs. Melissa Goad
Mrs. Melissa Goad has been a principal in the Clinton Township School District since 2004. She began her career as a student teacher in 1995 at Spruce Run School, and spent 9 years as a special and general education teacher at Patrick McGaheran School, as well as Director of the ACE Summer Program for 5 years. She earned her Master of Education in Educational Administration and Supervision from Rutgers University in 2003 and previously received an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Special Education from Rutgers in 1995. She has both general education and special education teaching certifications, as well as Principal, Supervisor and School Administrator certifications. Mrs. Goad has also served as an adjunct professor at Centenary College teaching graduate courses in Special Education. She lives in Hunterdon County with her husband, two children and many pets.
